Maple Leaf Farm Quilt

Hello dear colleagues, welcome to our craft world once again. This week we brought you different patterns, but the week isn’t over, not even our patterns! If you came here looking for a new quilt pattern to learn, you’ve come to the right place.

We want to show you the Maple Leaf Farm Quilt. Look what an amazing design. A pattern full of details and different blocks, which will require a little more attention and time to complete. It’s far from impossible, but I must say this quilt is not for beginners. But it’s always worth reading the pattern and checking what you can understand.

In this quilt, you will need to combine three techniques: hand and machine appliqué and hand embroidery. In the end, the quilt will be approximately 67-1⁄2″ square. You can see that the color palette remains the same in every detail. They are earthy tones that combine with each other and make the quilt look very amazing.

It is very important to follow the instructions in order, as well as the cutouts. Because it has so many details, it’s easy to get lost. Organization will be very important. Appliqué foundation squares are cut larger than necessary. But remember that you will trim them to the correct sizes after completing the appliqué and embroidery. This pattern was made by Bobbie Ashley and he used a freezer-paper method to prepare appliqué pieces. All the steps are described there in all people quilt.

Either way, we’re here to help you every step of the way, so let us know in the comments. If you don’t know all the techniques, don’t despair. Here on the blog there are simpler patterns and you can start with them until you feel confident to make the maple leaf farm quilt.
